COMMANDO AirBULLET 1300Mbps, 802.11ac, Dual Band, Wireless USB 3.0 Adapter with Hi-Speed Connector is fast wireless using IEEE802.11b/g/n along with Wave 2 technology. It provides dual band connectivity for speeds up to 1300Mbps. Both 2.4G and 5.8G bands can be simultaneously used for browse, stream, chat, and play online games without any delay. The 64/128-bit WEP, complies with 128bit WPA standard (TKIP/AES), supports MIC, IV Expansion, Shared Key Authentication, IEEE 802.1X encryption that provides a protected wireless network connection and protects transmitted data.

Dual band is a feature allowing two frequencies (bands) available simultaneously which can traffic up to 1300Mbps. 5 GHz band supports speed maximum up to 867Mbps and 2.4 GHz frequency speeds maximum up to 300Mbps.

USB 3.0 support

USB 3.0 backwards compatible designed to work with older USB versions including USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. It can plug a USB 2.0 device into a USB 3.0 port, but it will only run at the speed of the USB 2.0 technology. The theoretical transfer speed of USB 3.0 is 4.8 Gbps and USB 2.0 is 480 Mbps but still a significant advancement in transfer speed.

Wireless coverage over a wider distance

Generally, in home networking Wi-Fi operating range 2.4 GHz band can reach up to 45m (150 feet) indoors and 90m (300 feet) Outdoor. In 5GHz band can reach up to 60m (195ft). With the 802.11n standard, up to 70m (230ft). With the 802.11ac standard it can reach up to 125m (410ft). This Wireless adapter covers much more distance than this.
